I have to get back into the swing of posting again XD

So what's going on in the computer world for me? Well I've decided to catch up to Bleach which means I need to rewatch it. It was that, Naruto or One Piece and Ver said Bleach so Bleach it is XD I am hoping to be caught up by November. 

I also have to work on my Blind Go Entry, it's due on the 19th or the 20th and I have not yet started.

IRL I'm moving again for November. XD MAL is going well enough, I am all caught up on FMA, Hetalia and Haruhi. I should work on catching up on others. In between Bleach eps I guess.

Today was better, my break was left alone and I won't have painful painful spasms all night. Yay!

Last night I watched the second four episode arc of Higurashi. Good stuff. commanderteddog  keeps feeding me crack about it, so I am more motivated than ever to watch it. XD I keep looking at my goal list and thinking 'man that was ambitious' XD At least my 5000 fanfic reading list had marked over 100. I'll just have to keep trudging. Even the anime/manga goals were generous. I've only completed 19 mangas. I'll have to read a ton of short ones and medium ones to fill in the gaps. 100 is a lot.    

In any event...my parents haven't emailed me back in four days. Weird.

Well, today was hell.

For those not in the know, I have heel splints, which means I have injured my heel on my left foot, in the muscle and it won't be better for months. This means whenever I've been sitting/sleeping and I go to stand it's very painful. When I stand all day at work, by the end of the day, it would hurt a lot. Yes I limp by the end of the day. So some people around me know it is happening. Others do not. I make a point of pushing through work and not making a big deal of it.

So I work 4 to 4.5 hours and then I get my half an hour break and then take the last 3.5-3 hours in quite a bit of pain because sitting makes it worse. That's why it hurts by five.

Today, it was slow in the morning but I was keeping busy and Kerry looks at the clock at 11:50 (I started at 9) and says 'do you mind taking your break in ten minutes?'

I smiled a little and said. 'Well I'd rather not, I don't think I'll make it to five if I do, I don't think my heel will take it.'

Kerry was like 'well I heard you the first time'.

And I was like 'okaaaaay' and went back to working. She goes out and comes back and says 'I'm taking a fifteen minute break'.

I was like 'Alright.'

We get orders, I do orders. Melissa who is also a supervisor comes back and says 'I really need you to take your break now because we can't justify keeping Kerry here. But I'll cover a break later if you need it.'

So what was I supposed to do? My supervisor asked me, and  I protested gently, explaining why, not necessarily in great detail, mind but I wasn't aware I had to give full medical history to every one of my bosses. She ran to another supervisor and I was told again. Fighting it further would probably warrant me getting a write-up. So I took my break. But I was really upset. And I carried that upset for hours with me until I had to unload in the bathroom for a couple of minutes. I felt better after that. And I didn't want another break because that would have made it worse, I would have lost some money and I didn't want to go back and be like 'I can't complete my shift' like a total pussy.

I haven't made a huge deal of this because I don't want to be treated like an invalid, I don't want to behave like an invalid, even though yeah, I'm looking pretty fucking disabled by the end of the day. But I just don't want to go there you know? But maybe I'll have to, because that nine hour shift is just brutal and this...I wasn't asking anything.  Just don't fuck with my break. How...just...what was I supposed to do?


ARGH!

All I had to post about yesterday was fic plot, so I had to private it for now XD It looks...really lame anyway. Everything is symbolized in letters and what not. For my girl Ed fic. Which I have not been working on. The daily ficcing ended cause I skipped a day and went craaap. So February I'll start that again. Sometimes I forget I have to blog here daily.

So I am looking for a better job, actively looking. I keep applying and trudging along on that one. I keep hoping I get a nice paying office-type job. I'm really tired of standing all day and it's wrecking my feet.

Tonight I watched a bunch of How I Met Your Mother for the first time. It's quite hilarious actually. I'm impressed. <3

The con is in flux again. I'm really not happy with one of the people on the committee making unilateral decisions and disregarding the feeling of the group.

Oh man today was not the best day, kinda stranded here. Tomorrow I have to go get a replacement bank card. At least I finally almost finished Full Metal Panic (reading) and I'm gonna watch four more eps of Nabari soon. I wish the cramps would go away. I'm not feeling that well, ugh.

I read Neko Kissa, it was alright. Cutesy. But not great.

So the snowbanks are somewhere near my waist (I'm not that short) and I wonder if before long they'll be up to my chin/head and that is just like Thunder Bay! Wtf?

Tomorrow promises to be a really really hard day so I'm just relaxing tonight. Up to episode three of Nabari no Ou. It's still awesome. I got Yen Plus for January, it's good and I like it.  Much better than Shonen Jump. Anyway, all should watch. Other than work, I've got little else going on. Trying to get back in the habit of watching anime.

...where did I move to, Thunder Bay? XD

Anyway I'm watching a lot of news stories especially the one  where the city of Waterloo could go on strike - the outdoor workers at least, and that would mean no snow plows. Yeeeeaaaaahhh. CUPE is really digging their heels in everywhere these days and I am not amused. I don't see how they don't understand this is a recession and the day you keep your damn job is a good day, never mind seeking out super duper money that isn't there. While people are fighting for huger increases, a lot of people are losing their jobs, especially in Ontario. So basically, SUCK IT UP. /political ranting

With that note, everyone should watch Nabari no Ou. I'm on episode two tonight. ^^ It's really good.

The convention is in flux again. Ron pulled out of working on the con due to a death in the family and we're scrambling to try and make this work. Here's hoping.  

So this is the story of Sandie, the woman I can't stand at work.

But it starts before her, because I started working there at the beginning of August.

I was trained and paid my dues and training people not long after. High turnover in the kitchen, and eventually we get Sandie. Now Sandie is a woman who used to own her own restaurant in the United States, which as you can imagine means she has ideas about how everything should be. Too bad. That's not how this works.

So I train Sandie, she undergoes the usual week-long training and then people get observed for like another week or so. But there were other new people coming in so Sandie decided she didn't need to be watched. I believe she joined in October, just before Marie left.

Into November, I'm being trained to do the catering orders and it's my first day where I get to do them alone, Emily's not even around. I ask her if she will bake cookies next and if so that means I have to get mine ready. She assures me she will. I get mine ready, tray them and head back to put away the order happily comfortable with the fact they will be ready in 16 minutes and I can do the last of my catering. It is about 9:30 am, the order is for 11:30am.

I come back out at 9:50 and she did not do the cookies. She put in some other things that take an hour and I am now internally panicking, going holy fuck I need these cookies. So I asked her to put them in when she was done and helped with other things. The cookies finally go in at 10:30, the same time as my break so I set the timer and go on break. I come back one of them has turned off the timer but not removed the cookies and I was like for the love of god please have not burnt the cookies! (Tick tock, order's due in 40 minutes) Although crispy, they were salvageable thank god. I realized Sandie was setting the timer with the sound on and it was a new timer and I said 'oh there's a way to turn the beeping off' and she slams it down and tells me to do it myself, storms to the office and starts bitching out my boss. Because apparently I'm condescending and I'm being a bitch.

So of course in the afternoon I get a talking to as though 'people' have complained. Which by the way, I totally know who, let's not kid ourselves. This woman threatened to quit. Hey, fuck, I was pissed off after hearing that. I had a bad day that day in part for her desire to think 'fuck you' to the rest of us and I wasn't about to quit. Fortunately my boss didn't think I was being intentionally bitchy with her, because I certainly wasn't, I was trying to laugh it off but by god woman do not fuck me over and think I won't remember.

So after that they decided instead of me, who's been there longer and who has the most experience will not be calling, but Sandie will. And she sucks at it and I still end up doing most of the work and being like 'can you give me the plates zomg?' Not only has she skipped paying her dues slugging it out on toaster station and microwave/soup station, but now she's being given other responsibilities that were not originally supposed to have been divided.

Her bitching is fucking with my opportunities to prove myself. She is still making a shitload of mistakes she doesn't catch and I don't dare comment about because she is a volatile woman who's likely to lose it on me again, she's fucking around with how we do things.

An example of this would be that she's gone ahead and she tells the other woman who's got less seniority than the two of us and she's like 'well pull six bags of bagels and keep it at that'. No, you pull four bags and pull more when they run out so they don't go bad. And Donna tells me 'well Sandie wants six' today and I was like 'that's nice.' Unless my boss tells me we're doing it different, I'm not doing it how she likes and that's final.

If she gets promoted over me, I am walking out.
 

Alright alright. Restting the journal thing and the fic thing starting today. Here's hoping I make it to February 7th or I'll just like die XD

I'm pretty good I think. Writing about girl Ed. XD Can't have enough stories about that. Here's hoping we can get some fics rolling out of me again.

In correlation to that, starting January first, I started ficcing daily, the goal's a month. On the first I wrote some drabbles for blind_go and yesterday's drabble will be put up on my comm later tonight after I've proofread it. So far so good!
